Dehradun is the capital city of Uttarakhand state. This place is situated at an altitude of 1400 ft and lies between the Himalayan foothills to the North and the Shivaliks to the South. Trekking

Forest research institute or FRI

FRI is a unique prestigious institute situate in Dehradun which is known for its forest related research works. This marvellous institute was built by the British and is spread across around 450 hectares. This structure is a marvellous blend of Greeko-Roman architecture. Robber’s cave

Robber’s Cave is a perfect picnic spot for family and friends. This cave is a miracle of the nature and is an elongated naturally formed cave through which a stream of water flows. It is situated approximately at a distance of 7 km from Dehradun and is also known as Guchipani. The Stream of water which flows through the cave surprisingly appears and vanishes under the ground after some distance. Because of this phenomenon, it attracts several tourists.

Sahastradhara

The name Sahastradhara translates to “thousand fold springs”. During rainy season, this place becomes amazing. The water here is rich in Sulphur content, which is believed to have medicinal properties. Because of this it attracts a lot of tourists. It is situated at an approximate distance of 14 Km from Dehradun.

Wildlife safari in Rajaji National Park

This place is a must visit for the nature lovers as this place offers the Himalayan wildlife, flora and fauna. This place is also the house for around 400 species of birds. Here you will get the chance to encounter the wild animals like Cheetah, Himalayan bear and Asian elephants etc in their natural habitat. This place is also like a paradise for wildlife photographers.
